KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique on Wednesday accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan of being the nation's enemy.
“Imran is the nation’s enemy,” Rafique lashed out against the PTI leader on Twitter. “He is a proponent of chaos for his political gains.”
The PML-N leader also accused Imran’s followers of being directly or indirectly involved in every sit-in staged in the country.
“Those who want to create misunderstandings between state institutions and the elected government are the nation's enemies,” said another tweet by the PML-N leader."
Rafique added that Imran's has a central role in the schemes.
The railways minister further said that Imran has openly advocated religious fundamentalism to come to power.
Earlier today, Imran reiterated calls for early elections and said the government was focusing on saving a person who has been disqualified, a person who has looted Rs300 billion from the country.
"I will again reiterate my call for early elections. Early elections are the need of the country. The longer they [PML-N] would stay in power is better for us, as it strengthens our party, but having them in power is further indebting the people of the nation."
Imran had also claimed during his press conference that there was no government working in Pakistan.
