KARACHI: The weather turned pleasant after parts of the metropolis received light drizzle early morning on Wednesday.
Several of those commuting early in the morning suffered skidding in their vehicles due to slippery roads following light rain in various areas of the city, according to rescue sources.
The scenic sunrise lit up the horizons with a golden light as cold intensified with the drizzle.
Shahrah-e-Faisal, I.I. Chundrigar Road, Malir, DHA along with other areas of the city received the drizzle.
The Met Office has forecasted the process of light drizzle could continue for next 24 hours, but there is no chance of heavy rain in the metropolis.
More rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills (with few hailstorm) is expected at scattered places in upper KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat divisions), FATA, upper Punjab( Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha divisions), Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan over the next 24 hours, according to the Meteorological Department.

Fog enshrouded parts of Gujrat, Gojra, Chiniot, Jhang, Khanewal, Toba Tek Singh and nearby areas Wednesday morning.
Visibility suffered on the National Highway, dropping to 150 metres on the route from Pattoki to Mian Chunnu.
Authorities have warned against unnecessary travel due to the persisting fog. Travelers are advised to switch on fog lights to avoid any untoward incident.
