PM Abbasi chairs ECC meeting in Islamabad

The committee includes ministers of communications, petroleum, commerce, industries and production, information, law, planning, railways, food and power and water

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi chaired a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) at the PM Office on Friday.

In the meeting, the premier along with the cabinet reviewed economic developments and the ongoing work on developmental projects in the country. 

The committee included ministers of communications, petroleum, commerce, industries and production, information, law, planning, railways, food and power and water.

After the meeting, the premier is expected to arrive in Karachi on a two-day visit, where he will lay the foundation stone of White Oil Pipeline project at Port Qasim.

The project is aimed at transporting oil at a faster speed to sustain industrial growth and a progressive agriculture sector.

PM Abbasi will also participate in a ceremony for promotion of M. Wallet accounts and SME finance for remittances

He is also expected to address the Pakistan Navy’s passing out parade tomorrow.
