KARACHI: The head of Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), Professor Dr Adeeb-ul-Hassan Rizvi, was admitted to the institute for treatment of chest infection and influenza.

As per a statement issued from SIUT, Dr Rizvi stayed in the high dependency unit for three days, but was moved to his room on Monday.

He is expected to be discharged from SIUT and sent home in the next two to three days.

Dr Rizvi’s condition is not critical. However, the SIUT administration has thanked the people who expressed their concern over the philanthropist’s health.

Dr Rizvi runs SUIT in Karachi, an institute where those who cannot afford to pay hefty sums for their ailment are treated free of charge. At SUIT people with kidney-related ailments are treated.
