ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, inaugurating the Burhan-Shah Maqsood section of Hazara Motorway, on Wednesday said political decisions should not be made in courts.

Abbasi added that the PML-N only believes in the verdict which comes from polling booths and reiterated that the government will complete its tenure.

"The government will complete its Constitutional tenure and the PML-N will return to power after July 15 elections," said the premier while asking the participants whether they want leaders who deliver on their promises or just talk.

“These are the projects that require vision and hard work and Nawaz Sharif has delivered on his promises," said Abbasi while referring to the Burhan-Shah Maqsood section of the motorway.

The prime minister claimed that the number of roads which have been built during the last four years of the PML-N's government is more than the roads built in the last 60 years of the nation's history.

“In all the years that Musharraf ruled, there was not a single project of this size built in the country," said Abbasi.

Highlighting achievements of his government, the premier stated that 11,000MW of electricity was added to the grid and 10,000MW will be added in the near future.

He added that the country is now also exporting 6,000 tons of urea.

The 47-kilometre segment, which is an important section of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, has been completed in less than three years.

This is the second motorway project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after M-I and will benefit six million people of the area.

The six-lane Hazara Motorway has a total length of 57 kilometre and it is being implemented in three packages. The motorway is expected to benefit six million people of Hattar Industrial Area, Haripur, Havelian, Abbottabad and northern areas.

Moreover, the prime minister is also expected to be the chief guest at Annual Parents' Day of Cadet College Hassanabdal.

'Pakistan will progress if we adopt Quaid's principles'

On December 25, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had remarked that Pakistan will progress if we adopt the principles of the father of the nation, Mohammad Ali Jinnah.

“If we adopt Quaid-e-Azam’s principles, then Pakistan will not be behind any country,” he said while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Mohammad Ali Jinnah Library of Islamia College Peshawar.

He remarked: “Quaid-e-Azam had the power of education and argument."

Moreover, the PM also stressed the importance of education for any society. He remarked that there can be no better investment than investing in education, adding that education cannot serve its purpose till there is quality education. “Not ensuring quality education, defeats the purpose of education,” he remarked.

“Quality education is more important than higher education,” he said, adding “Our problems cannot be resolved till we have a quality education.”

The PM also shared that the most important factors of education are its quality and discipline
