ISLAMABAD: College of Physician and Surgeon Pakistan (CPSP) has awarded teaching hospital status to the hospital of Capital Development Authority (CDA).
The post graduates training permission has been given in the three departments of the hospital including Medicine, Surgery and Dermatology.
The CPSP is also considering on the post graduates training in the other departments of the hospital, says a statement issued by the CDA here Monday.
On the directives of CDA Chairman Imtiaz Inayat Elahi, Executive Director of CDA Hospital Dr. Sadeeque Akbar Satti had raised the post graduates training issue with the CPSP and after his efforts training programme were approved.
The Chairman CDA said that its honour for the Hospital and directed to the Executive Director of the hospital to upgrade all the departments of the hospital and all the possible steps would betaken to provide the health facilities to the CDA Employees.
It may be mentioned here that there was no permission of graduates training in the hospital for the past 18 years and expressed the hope that after the permission, the hospital would promote research work for better health service delivery to the people.
Meanwhile, Higher Education Commission has linked the hospital library with its library for promoting modern research in the feild of health.
