Man shot dead in New Karachi

KARACHI: A man was shot dead on Friday in Khameso Goth in the limits of New Karachi Industrial Area, police said.

SHO New Karachi Industrial Area police station Amir Khan said that Sarzameen Khan s/o Mian Jan was ambushed in Lal Shehbaz Qalandar Colony in Khameso Goth when he was going to offer Juma prayer. He said that unidentified armed man riding a bike opened fire on him; resultantly, he received bullet injuries and died on the spot.

He said that the victim originally hailed from Peshawar and had come to Karachi about a month ago and lived in the same area. The cause behind the murder seemed to be old enmity, he added.

The police have registered an FIR and started further probe.
