RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Police arrested a number of drug pushers and recovered illegal weapons and narcotics from their possession in different areas of the city during its ongoing campaign against anti social elements.
Police seized five bottles of alcohol, 225 grams of Hashish, two pistols with seven bullets and 10 rounds of 9mm pistol from their possession.
Police Station Ganjmandi nabbed Imran and recovered 110 grams of Chars. Police Station Civil Line also held a drug peddler Nazir and same quantity of drug from him.
In the third case, Police Station Jatli officials arrested Azhar and recovered five bottles of liquor from his possession.
Police also arrested the illegal weapon holders and Gujar Khan police searched Asim and recovered 30 bore pistol with three bullets.
The New Town police arrested Imran and recovered a pistol of 30 bore with four bullets from his possession.
Police Station Airport held Ijaz on the charges of having 10 bullets of 9mm pistol illegally.
Police registered separate cases against all of them in relevant police stations and started investigation for further information.
