KARACHI: Prices of edible oil and ghee have been raised by Rs1.25 per litre/ per kg in retail market, Geo News reported on Saturday.
With the current hike, ghee has reached to Rs167 per kg while the oil to Rs158 per litre.
Talking to Geo News, General secretary Karachi Retail Grocer Group Fareed Qureshi said that the trend of price hike is continue in ghee and oil.
According to industrial sources, the soaring prices of the commodity is due to difference in import and export of palm oil at international market, adding that it has reached to $1295 per tonne.
