PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Thursday there was no room in the country for individuals who were slaughtering people in the name of sectarianism and terrorism.
Addressing the PML-N workers convention here, Prime Minister Sharif said the back of terrorists had been broken and they were now on the run.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif asked those who were chanting the slogan of Naya Pakistan to answer where Naya Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was. “We will build a Naya Pakistan and better Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.”
The prime minister spoke of building the motorway from Karachi to Lahore and from Peshawar to Kabul. He added that 15,000 megawatts of electricity would be produced from Diamer Bhasha and 200 other projects. “The electricity crisis will be resolved in three years.”
According to the prime minister electricity and gas would be provided in every house of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while the IDPs would be respectfully repatriated to their homes.
-Great Results from Zarb-e-Azb, Karachi Operation-
Earlier while meeting PML-N provincial leaders, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said great results had been achieved in the ongoing operations in Karachi and North Waziristan.
Mr. Sharif said the network of terrorists had been destroyed and the world had acknowledged that Pakistan was sincere in efforts to eradicate terrorism.
The prime minister spoke of improving relations with Afghanistan, adding that both countries had agreed that their soil would not be used by terrorists.
Prime Minister Sharif added the country’s economy was improving and measures taken were being praised by international economic institutions. He emphasised that the government was taking steps to overcome the electricity and gas crises plaguing the country.
On local government elections, Prime Minister Sharif said teams would be formed on the district level.
