Blast targeting police bus in Karachi kills two
KARACHI: At least two policemen were killed and 15 injured Friday morning when a bomb explosion ripped through their bus in Karachi.

Officials said that the bus carrying police commandos had departed from the Razaqabad training centre and had just reached the Malir bridge when a terrorist detonated a bomb planted inside a motorcycle parked by the side of the road.

Two policemen were killed and more than 15 injured, who are currentl being treated at the Jinnah hospital.

Police officials said the commandos were on their way to being deployed for the security of Bilawal House in Clifton area.

At least four to five kilograms of explosive material was used in the bomb which was detonated through remote control, said a police DIG.

In a similar attack last year in February, terrorists had targeted a bus leaving the same police training centre. The attack had left 13 police personnel dead and dozens injured.
