ISLAMABAD: Supply of electricity and gas to Quetta and other parts of Balochistan, which was disconnected due to blasting of the main electric towers and main pipeline of gas by the miscreants, will be restored shortly.
Talking to mediamen here on Tuesday, Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Mir Changez Khan Jamali said National Transmission Despatch Company (NTDC) and Sui Gas authorities have given him assurance that the work of construction on erection of towers and main pipeline of gas have been completed and supply would be restored soon.
He said that he had directed the authorities concerned to end the crises by speeding up their work to complete it in minimum possible time to restore the basic necessity of power and gas to the citizens.
The minister also said that he was in close liaison with the Provincial government by taking place security measures on the main installations of Electricity and Gas to avoid such incidents in future.
He also appealed the people of Balochistan to have close watch over the activities of such elements and foil the nefarious designs of these miscreants.(APP)
