QUETTA: Unknown men blew up location of 220 KV high power transmission line near Bakhtiarabad in Sibi district , suspending power supply to parts of Balochistan on Friday.
The sabotage act has increased additional 220 MW shortfalls in the province.
QESCO Public Relation Officer, Mohammad Shafqat told that unidentified men had placed explosive device along the location of 220 KV Sibi- Quetta power transmission line which exploded. As a result of explosion power supply to some district of the province had been suspended.
Through 42 grid stations attached to the network, the power shortfall would be met, the spokes man added.
He noted that that technical staff of National Transmission and Dispatched Company (NTDC) would start the restoration work after the security clearance by the provincial government. (APP)
