Army hands over 37 houses to flood affected families
HYDERABAD: In continuation of humanitarian support services, Pakistan Army handed over 37 houses to flood affected families near village Gahi Khan Sheikh of Sujawal, district Thatta on Friday.

According to an ISPR release, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Hyderabad Major General Shoukat Iqbal formally handed over the keys to the flood affected families at a simple but graceful ceremony.

Brigadier Javed Iqbal briefed the GOC Hyderabad about the project and the efforts made to take care of the flood affected people.

These houses are amongst thousands, being constructed by the Army through its own resources.

The houses were handed over to the people who lost their shelter in floods last year.

Each house can accommodate a family of five to seven persons.

The houses contain all essential fixtures of daily life.

Besides the houses, a mosque and a health centre were also renovated to meet the need of health and civic facilities.
