Traffic police review plan for city roads

LAHORE: The Capital City Traffic Police have prepared a comprehensive plan to ensure smooth flow of traffic on city roads during rush hours.

Chief Traffic Officer Syed Ahmed Mubeen addressing a meeting with DSPs and sector in-charges on Monday, directed to form squads to inspect the traffic situation during rush hours to facilitate the public on important roads.

The CTO said that DSPs and sector in-charges must visit roads to check the performance of wardens.

He directed to create awareness of traffic rules and road safety among citizens. He said that Traffic Education Units must be reactivated in all traffic sectors throughout the provincial capital in different phases from Monday.

He said that every official must perform duty in a proper manner and any negligence would not be tolerated.

The CTO also urged people to abide by traffic laws for their own and others safety.(APP)
