Nawaz’s statements are charade: JI

LAHORE: Amir Jamat-e-Islami Syed Munawar Hassan Wednesday described statements made by Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Nawaz Sharif as charade.

Addressing a book launching ceremony here at Al-Hamra Hall, Sayed Munawar Hassan said both the largest parties of the country are playing with the future of the nation.

“For a period of three years all we heard was slogans ‘Nawaz-Zardari bhai bhai’ and these two leaders only tried to provide cover to each others’ corruption”, the JI Chief said.

He asked as to how a system could be called democratic when it defies decisions of the Supreme Court and the Parliament. The people’s issues, instead of being resolved, have only been multiplied, he added.
