Hussain Haqqani, Marc Grossman meet in US

WASHINGTON: Pakistan envoy to US Hussain Haqqani and the US special envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan Marc Grossman held meeting here on Wednesday, Geo News reported.

That meeting was the first official sitting between the two key representatives to their respective countries.

During the meeting, the matters pertaining to mutual interests of two countries including the war on terrorism and Pakistan economic situation came under discussion.

Sources said the Grossman will soon visit Pakistan.

It is pertinent to note here that Marc Grossman has been recently appointed US’s special representative on Af-Pak affairs after sudden demise of previous office bearer Richard Holbrooke.
