Businesswoman abducted in Quetta

QUETTA: Unidentified armed men kidnapped a businesswoman from Kawari Road area of the provincial capital on Tuesday.

"Unidentified gunmen abducted the local businesswoman Nelofar Abadan wife of former MPA Fareed Abadan on gunpoint and took away to unidentified destination," police sources said adding that the victim businesswoman was owner of a distillery plant in the city.

Soon after receiving the information, senior police officials and law enforcement agencies reached the place and cordoned off the entire area and launched search operation to trace out the clue of the kidnappers and the victim.

Meanwhile, police sources told APP that the kidnapping of the businesswoman was part of the bad thriving business of abduction for ransom adding that criminal networks involved in this type of heinous crime were enjoying patronage of some influential.
