TMA to demolish illegal buildings in Rawal Town

RAWALPINDI: Administrator, Rawal Town Talat Mehmood Gondal said on Wednesday that all the building constructed without approved building codes will be demolished and no pressure will be accepted in this regard.

Addressing a high level meeting, he asked the owners of the such building to legalize their properties within seven days.

Earlier, chairing the meeting, Talat Gondal took serious notice of the illegal construction and building having no maps.

Town Officer Regulation briefed the meeting that Rawal Town Administration, in an operation, has already demolished 55 illegal buildings and strict action has also been taken against having no map builders.

The Adminitrator Rawal Town also directed the officials to wipe out the encroachers from the city and ordered to launch a joint operation against the encroachers.

Meanwhile, Rawal Town Administration launched an operation against the encroachers in Glass Factory, Kuri Road, Commercial Market, Sadiqabad, Jamia Masjid Road, Raja bazar, Liaquat Road and benazir Bhutto road.

TMA confiscated three trucks loaded with goods and fined Rs 70,000 to the shopkeepers for violating rule of law.
