HANGU: Unknown armed men opened fire on a passenger van in Hangu, killing at least 10 people wounding seven others, Geo News reported on Sunday.
The incident took place in Hangu district, 150 kilometres (93 miles) southwest of Peshawar.
Armed men intercepted a passenger van at Mamoo Khwar village district and opened fire, killing eight passengers on the spot and wounding seven others. The bodies and injured were shifted to hospital. Two more injured succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
The militants, who numbered six, fled the scene but security forces later launched an operation in the area and killed three rebels.(GEO URDU)
