Speaking to the media, Khan expressed his delight at getting selected in the USA national team.
“I am happy to be part of the US squad,” he said.
Khan has scored more than 3,000 runs and taken 74 wickets in 83 matches while playing for Smartchoice Sports Club, which is part of the Houston Cricket League.
He will be playing for the USA team in the upcoming ICC T20 Americas' qualifier for the T20 World Cup 2020, scheduled to be held in Australia.
