ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik Friday called on Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, who survived two attacks on his life, at the latter’s residence and apprised him of the investigation into the attacks, Geo News reported.
Rehman Malik, on behalf of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, condemned the attacks on Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman and expressed shock.
He said a joint investigation team (JIT) had been formed with a mandate to submit report in one week.
Rehman Malik, later, ordered for provision of ‘box security’ to Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman.
