KARACHI: The Sunday Bazaar in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase 8 area of Karachi has been demolished. The bazaar was the most popular open air market in the city and was widely visited by locals and foreigners.
According to a report published in The News ‘DHA Sunday Bazaar laid to rest’ by Zeeshan Azmat, the market was set-up under an agreement between the DHA and the bazaar’s contractor.
The agreement came to an end on December 31 last year and the DHA gave a three-month extension to its management to shift it to another location.
