Police nab five-member group of dacoits in Gujrat
The arrested suspects were involved in and carried out criminal activities in various areas of Punjab, the SP Investigation said

GUJRAT: Five suspects of a dacoit ring were arrested Wednesday night here in the city, a police officer confirmed, adding the gang was involved in criminal activities throughout the province.
At a press conference in Gujrat Police Line, Amjad Qureshi, the superintendent of police (SP) for investigation, explained that all five members of the ring were apprehended and illegal weapons, computers, motorcycles, mobile phones, and cash worth Rs100,000 were recovered from them.
The arrested suspects were involved in and carried out criminal activities in various areas of Punjab, SP Qureshi added.
Among the recovered items were 12 phones, four bikes, computers worth Rs1 million, a Kalashnikov, and five pistols, apart from the aforementioned cash.
