Mirza says his stance remains unchanged
KARACHI: Home Minister and PPP Sindh Senior Vice President Dr Zulfiqar Mirza on Monday said his stance about the lawlessness in the metropolis remained unchanged.

Talking to the media at Sindh Assembly Speaker's chamber after attending a meeting on census, Mirza said he was consistent about the Karachi situation during the last three years. He believed that there was total confusion about the census as both the people and the census staff were also confused. Mirza said they did not want Sindhis to be turned into Red Indians. He said that around 30pc population of Sindh does not possess CNIC and if possession of CNIC was made mandatory during the census, Sindhis would be converted into minority in their province.

He said the meeting with census commissioner and joint census commissioner was called to address the confusions and to make census process more easy and accessible. Mirza suggested that date for housing census should be extended.

In a light mood, Mirza disclosed he would go abroad on Wednesday (tomorrow). It may be mentioned here chief minister Sindh has approved 30-day ex-Pakistan leave for the home minister to go abroad purportedly on medial grounds.
