LAHORE: Anti Vehicles Lifting Staff Iqbal Town Division Lahore have arrested three car lifters of Ijaz Ahmed gang and recovered eight cars and one motorcycle from their possession.
The criminals have confessed to 15 cases of car lifting during preliminary interrogation.
According to police, on the directive of Capital City Police Officer Muhammad Aslam Tareen, SP CRO constituted a special team under the supervision of DSP Anti Vehicle Lifting Staff Tariq Mehmood Sukhera which arrested three culprits, including its ringleader. `
The criminals unlock vehicles and take them to Peshawar through Motorway where they sold them at cheaper rates.
The police have recovered eight cars and one motor cycle worth Rs 3.5 million from their possession. The arrested were identified as ringleader Ijaz Ahmed, Muhammad Ishfaq alias Shaka and Muhammad Sabir. Further investigation is in progress. (APP)
