Fed. cabinet ratifies Hajj policy 2011
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Cabinet has approved Hajj Policy 2011 on Wednesday, Geo News reported late Wednesday.

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani chaired the cabinet meeting here at Prime Minister House.

Under Hajj policy 2011, there will be no draw for reward of Hajj entry this year, as formula of “First come, First-served” will be applied to ensure transparency in the entire process.

The acceptance of application will be onset from 15 of this month.

Around 179,256 intending pilgrims will be sent to Saudi Arabia this year for performing the religious obligation under both the government and private Hajj schemes.

The Religious Affairs Ministry will have the quota of 13,500 pilgrims and each pilgrim will be allowed to carry Sr 1,000 with him.
