LAHORE: Sui Northern Gas Company (SNGC), issuing a serious threat to CNG sector, has announced that it would cut gas supply if the owners did not call off strike today, Geo News reported Thursday.
Prolonging the warning, SNGC further threatened to transfer gas supply to industries from CNG sector, sources said.
Spokesman to SNGC, alleging CNG associations of hiding the facts, said that the latter is being provided 250 mcf Gas instead of 188 mcf per day.
“Gas supply to CNG sector would be halted for an indefinite period if the sector doesn’t stop exploiting the leniency being expressed by the company,” he also warned.
It is necessary to notify here that an emergency meeting of SNGC officials has been convened to review impacts and consequences of CNG sector strike.
It is much likely that the announcement on the suspension of gas supply to CNG sector for an indefinite period would be announced at the meeting.
