QUETTA: In a major development, a man in Quetta has set an example by depositing Rs 100,000 in the account of Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) for using electricity illegally for last five years.
"I feel relieved in the court of my conscience and before my Allah after having deposited the amount in the account of QESCO," said Haji Mohammad, the power consumer, adding stealing the electricity have been pinching my mind and soul for last several months which finally resulted into the victory of my conscience.
He urged all the power defaulters to pay their utility bills as no religious obligation being performed by them by using the illegal electricity.
Chief Engineer Operations QESCO, Javed Aftab lauded the gesture and termed it unprecedented example set by an individual for all power consumers who were using the electricity by illegal means. (APP)
