Mother-of-four gives birth to quintuplets in Quetta

QUETTA: A woman gave birth to quintuplets Wednesday night here in the city, a doctor from the medical facility confirmed, adding that the mother and the newborns were safe and healthy.
According to Dr Shameem, who works at the private maternity facility, the pregnant woman was brought in an emergency from the outskirts of Quetta to her clinic, where she gave birth to five children at once.
Of the five newborns, three are girls and two boys, the doctor said, adding that their birth was through normal delivery.
Abdul Haq Achakzai, the woman's husband who, after the quintuplets' birth, is now the father to nine children in total, said he was extremely joyous at the occasion.
