ISLAMABAD: Minister for Communications Murad Saeed on Friday said the government is working to fulfill its promise of creating 10 million jobs.

Speaking in the Senate, the minister for communications said, “We had promised to provide 10 million jobs and are working on it.”

Prime Minister Imran Khan before being sworn into power had promised to create five million new homes, 10 million jobs and eliminate corruption within just 100 days of assuming office.

In keeping with his promise of five million new homes, the premier last month launched the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme.

However, the government has been flayed on several occasions by opposition parties for “ignoring” its job promise.
