LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz on Friday appeared before officials of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The leader of the opposition in the Punjab Assembly and his brother, Salman Shehbaz, had been summoned by NAB Lahore today, in a case pertaining to owing assets beyond their known sources of income.
Hamza appeared before the accountability watchdog today, however, Salman did not as he is currently in London.
According to sources, three deputy directors of NAB from the intelligence, prosecution and investigation wings questioned Hamza.
The PML-N leader has appeared before the accountability bureau in the past as well. Last week, the Lahore High Court accepted Hamza’s plea for protective bail and ordered that the PML-N leader not be arrested till the next hearing on November 13.
Hamza's father and PML-N president, Shehbaz Sharif, has been in NAB's custody since October 5 in connection to the Ashiana Iqbal Housing Scheme case.
