Actor Asad Malik released on bail following brief arrest

LAHORE: Actor Asad Malik who was taken into custody over the possession of an automatic weapon with an expired license last night was granted bail against a surety bond of Rs50,000 on Tuesday.

The actor was arrested on Monday night from the Allama Iqbal International Airport over the possession of an automatic weapon with an expired license.

According to the Airport Security Forces (ASF), Malik, who was travelling from Lahore to Karachi, was taken into custody after an automatic weapon was recovered from his luggage during checking before boarding the flight.

Malik has previously served a jail term for the murder of two people in Karachi.
