WASHINGTON: Further severe weather is battering the American Midwest and South.
45 people have already died in three days of storms there. Tornado warnings have also been issued for Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
US President Barack Obama has declared parts of North Carolina a major disaster area.
In contrast elsewhere 8 inches of snow is expected in Wisconsin while a drought in Texas is producing wildfires.
