An animated series about an abuse survivor chatbot by a Pakistani woman entrepreneur has bagged an award at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).
The chatbot Raaji is the brainchild of Saba Khalid and Tino Hahn, who run the feminist digital platform Aurat Raaj, and responds to you on questions regarding abuse, sexual and reproductive heath and education and employment.
Raaji bagged the award in the AI: empowering the future category and won a tve Global Sustainability Film Award at a ceremony held on Monday in London.
The tve Global Sustainability Film Awards is a film competition for companies and institutions, “recognising those whose films most powerfully portray solutions for sustainability”.
The competition, which started on May 11, receives entries focused on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including ending poverty, quality education and gender equality and others.
