ISLAMABAD: Turkish Minister of Defence Hulusi Akar arrived here in Pakistan Wednesday night.
Akar was received at the Noor Khan Airbase by Rear Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami as well as Turkey's Ambassador to Pakistan, Mustafa Yurdakul.
According to sources, the Turkish defence minister will meet the top civil and military brass of Pakistan during his visit.
Earlier, on Monday, Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu had met Prime Minister Imran Khan, wherein the two had discussed bilateral linkages and means to further enhance mutual cooperation in various areas.

During the meeting, Shehryar Khan Afridi, Pakistan's Minister of State for Interior, was also present.
Khan had expressed satisfaction over the upward trajectory of the Pak-Turk relations and extended an invitation to the Turkish leadership, including President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to visit Islamabad.
The Turkish minister also extended an invitation to Khan to visit Ankara.
