Sanaullah questions PML-Q’s support for Punjab division

LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has alleged that Chaudhry Pervaiz Ilahi wants division of Punjab only to rule over province, Geo News reported Thursday.

He said that Ilahi opposed every suggestion on formation of Saraiki province during his tenure as Chief Minister Punjab.

In a statement, the minister said though PML-Q enjoyed two-third majority in Punjab during times of its government but purposely failed to form Saraiki province.

“PML-Q today is afraid of popularity of PML-N in Punjab therefore the former is supporting idea of division of province, ” Sanaullah alleged.

“People want to ask Chaudhry Pervaiz Ilahi why does he favour division of Punjab now,” he asked.

Ilahi wants to rule over Punjab so he is dreaming of division, he alleged.
