KARACHI: We’ve heard this a zillion times, had our hopes lifted, only to be disappointed again and again. Except this time, our favourite Pakistani band ever is finally reuniting!
The trio will make its comeback to the Pakistani music scene after more than a decade and will perform in Karachi on December 25—and the city’s residents are euphoric over the news.
“Pakistan’s identity” is how a Karachiite described the band, saying he’s confident the concert will make Junoon realise it’s destined to be together again—and be the most popular band again in the country.
Another lamented the dearth of entertainment in the country, saying all that left is ‘politics, politics, politics’. Like all us entertainment-starved music enthusiasts, the Junoon fan hoped the event is just one of the many to come.
For the 80s and 90s kids, the concert will be a walk down the memory lane, says another Junooni.
Geo and Sooper have partnered to bring the rock band to the Junoonis on December 25 at Karachi's DHA Sports Club.
The tickets for concert themed 'Sooper Hay Junoon Ka Pakistan' can be booked through Yayvo.com or TCS' express centre.
All tickets for Bronze Circle and Platinum lounge have already been booked while Pink, Silver and Gold tickets are available for sale.
