Achakzai calls for ban on protests at D-Chowk
ISLAMABAD: Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) Chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai has called for a ban on holding protests and rallies at D-Chowk in the federal capital.

Achakzai proposed placing a ban during the National Assembly session held here on Tuesday.

In response to Achakzai, Law Minister Pervaiz Rashid said the government would implement decisions taken in Parliament regarding banning protests and rallies at D-Chowk.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) held a 126 day long protest at D-Chowk demanding a probe into allegations of rigging during the 2013 general elections. The protest came to an end on January 17, a day after the terrorist attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar.
