LORALAI: Four labourers suffocated to death on Wednesday while one other was injured when a coal mine in Balochistan’s Chamalang area overfilled with gas.
Speaking to Geo News, chief mine inspector of Balochistan Ifthikar Ahmed said that five labourers were extracting coal out of the mines in Chamalang when it filled with gas leading to an explosion. The explosion resulted in killing four of the labourers.
The deceased and injured labourers were been shifted to a hospital. Authorities added that the deceased labourers all belonged to the same family, including two brothers.
Further, the coal mine has been sealed and an investigation has been launched.
