Man kills brothers over property dispute in Hafizabad

Police said one suspect has been arrested while search is under way for others

HAFIZABAD: A man killed his brothers over a property dispute in Punjab’s Hafizabad area on Tuesday, according to local police.

According to police, Asghar, a resident of Lakhian village killed his brothers Zafar and Nasrullah over a dispute on a property.

Six days earlier, Asghar along with his friends killed his elder brother Nasrullah by firing. Police registered a case against eight men including Asghar and his son. 

Later, Asghar kidnapped his other brother Zafar, killed him and dumped his body in the river. The body was found near a river in Leah.

According to the law enforcement authorities, one suspect has been arrested and a search is under way for the remaining suspects.
