FM Qureshi, Chinese ambassador discuss CPEC progress, bilateral matters

ISLAMABAD: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing called on Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on Monday.

The two dignitaries discussed bilateral, regional issues and progress on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal tweeted.

Foreign Minister Qureshi welcomed Chinese support and assistance in different sectors including trade and economic cooperation.

Recalling his earlier meetings with his Chinese counterpart, Qureshi reiterated Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries by promoting cooperation in diverse fields.
