LAHORE: Opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) and PML-N’s senior leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Sunday demanded of the government to claim responsibility of failure of intelligence in Abbottabad incident and take nation under confidence, Geo News reported.
Nisar termed US raid in Abbottabad that killed Al-Qaeda kingpin Osama bin Laden in a compound as being ‘murder of honour of Pakistani nation’.
He was talking to newsmen in Lahore. “Today, Pakistanis are compelled to think that they are unsafe anywhere in their homeland while US contractors and intelligence officials are free to move about with no fear whatsoever,” Nisar claimed.
Lashing out at failure of intelligence agencies and government alike, he said: “Security forces and agencies should not have adopted dual policies”. In reality, the duo is blind to its duties, he maintained.
He alleged government elements being involved in letting US raid on a compound in Pakistan, keeping nation in dark, adding that were it not like that, the ruling leaders would not have been confused over the issue.
Opposition would question government over this issue during next NA session on Monday, he informed.
He warned against traditional response from the government, threatening that for opposition, all options are open if the latter tries to get away with Abbottabad issue.
Someone has to pay the price of insult of our national honour, he urged, calling for immediate resignation of concerned authorities.
To a question, he said that we are not concerned over alliance of PPP and Q-League instead PML-Q should be worried on joining a sinking boat.
