ISLAMABAD: Federal government has decided to speed up measures to put an end to domestic abuse, child labour, capital punishment, forced disapperances and other forms of human rights violations.

Prime Minister Imran Khan presided over a high-level session, where it was decided to continue all the efforts for maintaining the GSP Plus status.

In the meeting, it was decided that all the boards having discriminatory slogans about banning entry of domestic help at Lahore GymKhana, Islamabad Club and other places should be removed.

It was also decided that a survey regarding child labour should be carried out in the country and the Bureau of Statistics should gather data within six months on it.

It was decided that amendments should be included to declare forced disappearances a crime under the Pakistan penal code.

The prime minister said that the human rights of every citizen including minorities should be ensured as it is an integral part of the Constitution and Islam.
