Work on Rs14 mln roads projects underway in Swabi: Zarshaid

PESHAWAR: Provincial Minister for Ushr & Zakat Haji Zarshaid Khan on Sunday said that work on Qadro-Mira Road costing Rs.10 million are underway that after completion would benefit 50000 people of Swabi District.

Addressing open public meeting at Maneeri Payan, Swabi, the Minister said that work on Rs. 4 million on Naso-Banda Road has also underway to provide better communication facilities to poorest of the poor and downtrodden. The farmers and growers would largely benefit from these schemes started with the consultation of local communities.

He said that government was well aware of people's problems and more amounts would be allocated for new schemes for Swabi district in the upcoming budget. He said that ANP is fighting against war and terror for survival of Pakhtuns and will establish long-lasting peace in the province with the support of people.

The Minister said that time is not far away when the dream of durable peace in KPK would be materialized.
