IPOH: Pakistan were outclassed by Australia 1-5 in the Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament here on Monday.
The world champions dominated the game against the Asian champions who could not resist against the aggressive play of the Aussies.
Australia were leading 2-1 at the end of the first half and they further extended their lead in the second half adding three more goals.
Sohail Abbas scored the lone goal for Pakistan whereas for Australia, Simon Orchard and Jason Wilson netted two goals each and Christopher Ciriello made one.
Pakistan, with four points in four matches in the tournament, will play their next match against arch rivals India on Wednesday.
