LAHORE: The flight schedule at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore was affected on Wednesday owing to repair work of the main runway.
The main runway of the Lahore airport is being repaired after a pothole was formed. The repair work will be completed soon, a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) official said.
Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) flights to Dubai, Oslo, Manchester, New Delhi and Karachi have been delayed owing to the repair work of the runway.
A PIA spokesperson said, “The national carrier’s staff is looking after the passengers and providing snacks and refreshments.”
“Flights will resume operations after CAA opens the runway again,” the spokesperson added.
“We apologise for the delay,” the spokesperson further said.
