Kings' Yamin sets eyes on PSL all-rounder's trophy

DUBAI: Pakistan's International cricketer Aamer Yamin has set his eyes on the best all-rounder's trophy in the fourth edition of Pakistan Super League.

Speaking to Geo after his training session in Dubai’s ICC Academy, the 28-year-old all-rounder said he feels that with flamboyant performance in PSL, he can make a comeback to the Pakistan side.

"I always try to give my best all round performance and contribute towards team’s cause. I still aim to play for Pakistan as an all-rounder and this PSL is an opportunity for me to prove my worth," Yamin said.

"I aim to be the best all-rounder in PSL and give my best for the team," he added.

Yamin was named in Pakistan's Twenty20 International squad for their series against England in the UAE in September 2015. He made his One Day International debut for Pakistan against Zimbabwe on in October 2015. But since then, he has played only four ODIs and two T20Is.

However, the PSL tournament has given him the hope to make a comeback to the national side once again.

According to Yamin, the level of competition in PSL is not different from any international competition and players are lucky to get the opportunity to share the dressing room with top players.

"PSL level of competition is not less than level of any international game. In Karachi Kings dressing room, I get chance to share dressing room with likes of Wasim Akram and Mickey Arthur which gives me a good learning opportunity, specially Wasim Akram always guides me and other players on how to perform with the ball," he said.

"Season has been good and I'm satisfied with my performance but I think I should have done better and finished the game properly," Aamir said when asked about his performance in the ongoing season.
