ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Tuesday briefed the members of the diplomatic corps on the Indian violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Qureshi informed the diplomatic corps that the Pakistan Air Force jets effectively intercepted six to eight Indian aircraft at approximately 0254 hours on Tuesday, forcing them to scuttle back while randomly releasing their ordinance that landed in an uninhabited remote area.

The foreign minister strongly rebutted India's purported claims of having targeted a large terrorist camp and resultant causalities, terming it as completely absurd and based on a false narrative designed to placate the domestic audience.

Pakistan reserves its right to respond against the Indian aggression, he emphasised.

He reiterated Pakistan’s principled stance on continuing support to the Kashmiri people's peaceful political struggle to realise the right to self-determination as enshrined in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolutions.
