ABU DHABI: Usman Shinwari's four-for and Umer Khan's three-wicket haul knocked Multan Sultans out of the ongoing Pakistan Super League tournament on Monday.
Karachi Kings beat the Shoaib Malik-led team by five wickets, after restricting them to 118-7 and chasing down the target with four balls remaining.
Multan managed only two wins from their nine matches so far.
Youngster Mohammad Ilyas' three wickets and Mohammad Abbas' two-for went in vain as Liam Livingstone's half-century off 42 balls overshadowed Multan's bowling efforts in Abu Dhabi.
Colin Ingram scored 31 off 24 with four boundaries.
Lacklustre Multan batting
Multan Sultans' batting lineup once again failed to impress as the team managed to score only 118 runs.
Such was the decimation by Kings' bowlers that Hammad Azam remained the top scorer for the Sultans with 29 off 30 balls.
Fast bowler Usman Khan Shinwari picked four wickets for just 15 runs, earning him the Player of the Match award, while 19-year old Umer Khan bagged three for 22.
